What is the Hungarian Church Webring?

For the Websurfer, it allows visiting many different Hungarian Church websites throughout North America by just clicking the “next” button.

If you are a recent convert to Jesus Christ and are looking for a local congregation that also reflects your heritage, have moved and are looking to join a new congregation, or if you are just rediscovering your Hungarian roots, you have come to the right place.

Some websites are written only in the English language, some are written in both the Hungarian and English languages, while others are written only in Hungarian. So if you are solely an English or Hungarian language speaker, you might need your dictionary.

Most of the websites are more than just a Church schedule and list of events, they contain inspirational writings (and sometimes play inspirational music) and have contact addresses of Churches where you can get answers to your questions of living the life commanded by our Lord.

This webring has a different format than most others – we do not track visitors or insert popup advertising. Only Christian content is permitted on the websites linked to this webring.

For the Church Website Editor, by interconnecting with like minded Christian Churches throughout North America, ideas can be exchanged to bring people to Christ thereby promoting our Churches. Read what programs other Hungarian Churches are pursuing to grow their congregations.

This webring will give your Church’s website more exposure and more visitors at no cost to you. That is right – this is a totally free service. Also, there is no popup advertising.

Cost is free with no advertising, here only to spread the Word.

We linked our Church’s site, www.hungarianpresbyterianchurch.org, to a Presbyterian Church webring and noticed a large increase of traffic to our site. This resulted in more enthusiasm with our worshippers as new visitors appeared in the pews and our Church gained visibility in the community. We began to think of the possibilities to link “Hungarian” Churches together. What a benefit to bring members of our community to the Lord!
 

If your Church does not have a website, contact us. While we are not computer professionals, we can recommend a service that is totally free of cost, including website hosting, where you can easily do all the programming work (American Bible Society) to a reasonablely priced service where they do much of the work and web hosting (PNE Web Solutions, who set up this webring) for a fancier website with all the bells and whistles.

1) Your Church must be a Christian Church recognizing these principals:

Your Church believes and affirms one Sovereign and Holy God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who created, sustains, rules and redeems the world according to His perfect plan and will.

Your Church believes and affirms that God became flesh in Jesus Christ, who was fully human and fully God, as the Scriptures declare.

Your Church believes and affirms that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of humankind, bearing in His body the sins of all those who trust in Him, and that there is salvation in no other.

Your Church believes and affirms that Jesus was bodily raised from the dead by the power of God, and that He ascended to heaven, where He reigns with the Father and the Spirit, one God.

2) No for-profit commercial content can be linked to this webring.

3) You will be required to place a coded link on your website. This is a “ring” where one site benefits all the connected sites. If you were listed on our end of the webring without you placing a link back into the webring, you would be just a dead end and not be benefiting the other websites.

Click Add Your Church to the Hungarian Church Webring, then follow these instructions - When asked to Select Ring ID choose Hungchurchweb and click Get Form.

The form will ask you several questions which are explained below:

• Site Title: Your church name
• Description: As a church, who you are, what you do, what you believe. Write something that will attract visitors to your page.
• Keywords: This is optional. Insert searchable words separated by a semicolon.
• Site Entry URL: The full address of your main entry page, which is usually the same page that you will insert the code.
• HTML code URL: (Normally you would leave this blank. However, pages using frames would need to indicate the frame page which contains the coding.)
• Site ID: Choose a short "unique" name that we can use in the coding, such as WhartonPresbyterian.
• Password: Choose a "unique" password so that you can re-edit the information on this form at any time.
• Name: The name of the person responsible for your webpages
• Email Address: Email address of the person responsible for your webpages.
